I have been looking at this old vintage table cloth that I got our of my grandma's attic. It's from the 1930's I think. Anyway it was stained pretty bad right in the middle and I couldn't get the stain out. I was ready to pitch it to goodwill, and then started thinking about what else I could use it for. I decided to cut it up in the good parts and use some pretty fabric as bias tape for the edges and I created some really cute dishtowels! I am so pleased with how they turned out! and that older cotton is so absorbent! (a set of these will be heading to a certain miss in Mexico! ;)

wonderful way to reuse, and such a lovely fabric to remake into dishtowels.

Thanks everyone! I should be fair and say I saw something like this a year or so ago in a craft book, or magazine somewhere, So it's not completely my own idea. Fun though and a great way to re purpose and keep things out of the landfill
